ComputerPsych LLC was founded in 2004 as a custom software and hardware development firm, particularly targeting psychological, neuropsychological, and medical practices.
ComputerPsych's first released product is the Normal Distribution Curve Calculator (normdist), designed to help practitioners and students convert between several normalized measures (presuming a gaussian distribution), including percentile, T-score, standard score (Wechsler paradigm), stanine, etc. Recent additions to the program include allowing for custom measures (providing mean and standard deviation), and the ability to output tables to various document types including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and text files.
The Legatt Image Analysis Platform alows fourier-domain transformations of gray-level images, with several types of filtering, including high, low, and band-pass filtering, orientation filtering, and point modifications. Unlike most image analysis programs, IAP can also use custom conversions between gray levels and luminance levels. To this end, a PhotoResearch SpectraScan 650 photometer can be included with the purchase, and the software can automatically measure a monitor's luminances for each gray level.
The Legatt Variable Contrast Continuous Performance Test (VC-CPT) is a validated and reliable continuous performance test, designed to measure several variables of attention. Unlike many visual CPT tasks, the VC-CPT targets particular visual pathways and streams in order to locate neurological deficits that can often be misinterpreted as attentional deficits.
